Area Overview

The Dubai Islands project of Nakheel will transform the lifestyle of people living alongside the waterfront, utilizing a carefully planned series of five linked islands with a total area of about 17 square kilometers. The proposed large-scale development will improve the standards of lifestyles of both visitors and residents by providing them with a harmonious combination of leisure, culture, and modernity. The islands will be given their own unique identity, and such attractions available in the islands as recreational beaches, beach clubs, cultural venues, and modern residential communities, all will be closely interrelated and assisted by easy access to the city and the airport.

The master plan of the Dubai Islands entails a wide variety of hospitality and lifestyle products, over 80 hotels and resorts across the luxury, wellness, family-focused, and boutique themes. The visitors and residents will have more than 20 kilometers of beachfront, large parks and open green lawns, and picturesque golf courses, which overlook the Arabian Gulf. The islands are situated along the coastal area on the northern side of Dubai and are meant to be conveniently accessible via road and water transport, a major pillar in long-run urban development and tourism of Dubai.
